SQL Compliance Manager 2.0 has been released by Idera. The software is a real-time auditing and continous compliance application for Microsoft SQL Server databases.

2.0 includes comprehensive policy-based detection and real-time alerting of out of compliance events and full support for auditing SQL Server 2005 databases.

Regulatory compliance is a driver for the new release. Idera claims compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II and the USA Patriot Act.

SQL auditing encompasses accesses, updates, modifications and changes to security permissions.
