U.S. retailing giant, Wal-mart has applied for a banking license. Wal-Mart wants to set up an industrial bank in the state. Processing credit card, debit card and electronic check transactions would be its main focus. A "significant amount" of money would be saved moving from a third-party processor. General Electric, American Express and Merrill Lynch have all set up industrial banks in Utah. |
